2.2.1 Bare Act Text:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Short title, extent and commencement.\u2015(1) This Act may be called the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1[(2) It extends to the whole of India.]<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(3) It shall come into force on such date2 as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
