Purushottam Das Tandon\u2019s Speech to Second the Resolution:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

After presentation of the said resolution Purushottam Das Tandon of United Provinces asked to second it. He gave his speech in Hindustani<\/a>. He fully supported the said important resolution. He remembered the past of Bharat, when it was free form all kind of foreign rules. He mentioned that Assemblies of age of Asoka, where Pandits met to discuss important affairs of the country, were similar to the present Constituent Assembly. India, as a nation would contribute in peace and progress of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tondon specifically mentioned that British Raj not only deprived us of our freedom, but also created disunity among us. This is proven fact that rigid caste based system was imposed on us by British rulers by forging many false stories of 5000 years. But still, in present time, we are not trying to debunk these stories and continued to pull this burden of falsehood. There are many influential people present in India today and having posting at higher positions even in governance, are trying to impose the false stories of European \u00a0writers on us. I can\u2019t take any legal action against them to carry British narrative<\/a> and spread lies, which are still dividing this society on the basis of Caste, but I can pray to Almighty God to give some Satbuddhi<\/em>, means the common sense to such people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tondon completely gave credit to 1942 movement for creation of Constituent Assembly, in which many broke the laws and went to jail. He further claimed with confidence that the India was the only Country in this world, which always welcomed foreigners with open arms and always protected the human rights<\/a>. This is true in today\u2019s scenario also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many members and even international media, trying to postpone this resolution and other important resolutions as Muslim League was not present in the house. In response to this Tondon said that for every action there is proper time and for this and other certain important resolutions, that was the time. There was no certainty of joining hands by Muslim League to Constituent Assembly of this nation. Waiting for Muslim League, already wasted much time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was against of giving residuary powers to provinces, where Hindu-Muslim problem was prevalent. He also mentioned the heartfelt incidences of communal violence called by Muslim League happened in Bengal and other provinces. To avoid controversy, the said resolution gave residuary powers to provinces, so that Muslim League could not say that the said resolution was done in their absence. Such things were done in hope that Muslim League would join the Assembly. But the league was stubborn to form Pakistan. Many things were accepted against the ideals of the Congress and other political parties<\/a> to secure the Muslim Leagues co-operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also pointed out that to have Muslims on side of India, the basic principles should not be sacrificed. He also pointed out that possibility of civil war in India was created by British Government, by giving separate electorates on the basis of Hindu and Muslim identity. Cabinet Missions language was clearly mentioning that Provinces were having right to join or leave the group. It also empowered the Part B and Part C stated to frame their own constitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This kind of game to divide the people of land was played by the British Rulers and it was the reason behind the absence of Muslim league, which turned into partition. Although Hindu members of the assembly, belonging to any political party including Congress or representing any State or province, were trying to join the hands with Muslim League to keep this nation undivided. This was clear from the Cabinet Missions plan that Assam, Bengal, North West Frontier Province, Baluchistan, Sindh, Punjab etc. should be given in the hands of the people who were out to divide India into two parts<\/a>. What British are trying was to sow seeds of civil war by threatening us with a civil war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also mentioned that the British Government had a lack of honesty in assertions which it makes on behalf of the Muslim League. The League was duped by the British Government to act as the King\u2019s Party. League was used by the British Government to divide <\/a>this nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was right and his opinion is still true in today\u2019s era. To make any group of people on your side, the basic principles of ideology shall not be sacrificed. But politics today is not running on ideology, it is just a game to make people on one\u2019s side. This is harmful for our nation as such kind of politics without ideology to serve nation is the cause of enmity between classes based on castes and religions. Congress tried to be secular over the decades, but it sacrificed its true ideology to enshrine every class under its umbrella by appeasing on the basis of religion and then on the basis of Caste. Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is also compromising on its Hindutva ideology<\/a> to gain support from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Classes. Also BJP is trying to appease Muslims and Christians, products of foreign rules of Islam and Christianity, by giving entry to these people to SC ST and OBC. Political parties are now trying to play the game of divide and rule, well played by British rulers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After presentation of the resolution, near about 40 amendments were received by the Chairman Dr. Rajendra Prasad. This very important resolution took too much time to get passed due to absence of Muslim League and desire of Hindu leaders to wait for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
